With the ever-changing situation related to COVID-19, Austin's Old Timer has become bogged down with more and more repairs. Time off of work and more jobs changing to accommodate employees working from home, many people in and around the city of Austin have found time to deep clean and go through things they haven't seen in years.
These lost and forgotten items have been unearthed and restored a sense of sentimentality. Whether it be a yearning for the younger days when life seemed somehow easier and less complicated or the deep seated grief that comes with missing a loved one, these items have found use back in hearts and homes.
Sadly, over the years many of these items have been damaged or broken. Some of these items have made their way to our shop, and while it may not seem like much, with almost a million people calling Austin home there are hundreds of people needing repairs and only a handful of places to get them.
We have gotten bogged down with a lot of repairs and too few people to repair them. In order to maintain quality, we've had to expand our wait times to SIX MONTHS.
In addition to this we will no longer do partial jobs, electric clocks, or consignments. It may not seem like much, but these are all things that consume a lot of our time without any benefit to you or us.
